I’ve been coaching for 13 years, gaining my MCC in 2004. When I first began coaching and mentioned that I was a coach, the inevitable reaction was either a look of confusion, or the question, “oh, for what sport?” Now, in 2011, coaching has grown and continues to be the one of the fastest growing industries in the world. I’m proud I’ve grown along with it and that I’ve stayed in our magnificent profession.
Along with coaching my individual clients and the leadership and executive work with my partners in Inspired Mastery, I have trained hundreds of coaches at the level of certification for two Accredited Coach Training Programs. I love this work – training, supporting and mentoring new coaches. I have an expert ear for hearing masterful coaching.
It became a natural progression then, for me to offer mentoring to coaches as they prepared to apply for the ACC, PCC, or MCC. My clients come from many different coach training orientations and schools. We work together to fine-tune their coaching to meet the ICF minimum skill requirements for each level of credential. My clients are great coaches as we begin, and at the completion of our work, they are more highly skilled and experienced. It’s my great honor to work with so many excellent coaches!
A few personal notes: I live in the magnificent Pacific Northwest of the United States and I enjoy so many aspects of this beautiful part of the country. I love to dance, walk, bike, go to movies, spend time with my amazing kids and grandkids, read good fiction, dine leisurely with fun conversation, and talk on the phone with the greatest friends on the planet (even though I’m on the phone all day with coaching). Some Favorites: Mad Men, Boston Legal, a day with no schedule, dark chocolate, red wine, and my Mom’s fried chicken (I still can’t master it quite the way she does).
